When I set up Faderport 2018, I followed the manual's directions to set it up manually as a "Mackie Control." However, if the DAW is closed or the Faderport is powered off, it seems to send some info to Logic Pro that switches it to "MCU Pro" mode. This can cause some functions to not work correctly, and sometimes the lights can get into weird states. Every time I've seen that happen, switching back to "Mackie Control" fixed it.

Does anybody have any idea why this happens? The last Universal Control update I did said it had some bug fix for this, but it doesn't seem fixed.

I'm using the latest version of Logic Pro but this has happened since I started using Logic a few versions ago on a different computer.

Yes, I have. They have not responded yet and I’d like to see what other users have experienced as well.
