I've just bought a Faderport 2 to replace my recently deceased Faderport Classic. (I use it with Pro Tools Ultimate on a Windows 10 machine.) The fader position does not seem to be calibrated correctly; it disagrees with the fader-level values displayed in Pro Tools. It seems OK at 0dB, and at -20 dB, but when the Faderport is set to -5 it displays -8 in Pro Tools, and when the Faderport is set at -10, Pro Tools shows -14.3. (The Faderport Classic tracked the fader levels in Pro Tools very accurately.)
I thought this might just be a defective unit, and was able to exchange it. The replacement unit, however, behaved exactly the same as the first one.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? I suspect a firmware issue, and have opened a ticket with Presonus, but so far have received no diagnosis or recommendation.
