Windows 10 & Firewire is a total crap shoot. My Win10 machine recognizes both my onboard chipset and my LSI PCExpress Firewire card BUT it will not recognize my Presonus Firestudio 26x26. I had to build a Win7 machine to keep using it. But that was cheaper and easier than buying a
new interface.

There's a LOT of frustrated firewire/Win10 users out there. A Google search will return a LOT of hits

OK....I was told the TI interface was the best for my Firestudio Project. I have it and it worked great until I whipped my computer and reinstalled windows 10/64. It sees my projects (two of them) but says driver error?

Did you install the UC drivers: https://www.presonus.com/products/FireS ... /downloads for Project from your My Presonus account or the Presonus page itself?

Just a quick update. It's not supposed to work but I got both a FS 26x26 & a FSM to work on a Win 10 machine using the OLDEST UC drivers.....1.1.1. This not only allowed both units to sync up but they were recognized in S1 AND I have working Mixer panels for both. I am one happy camper now.

And yeah, my LSI pc express card uses a TI chipset. I've always had the best results from TI based cards.
