Hi all!
I've used my Sceptre6 for six month now with a sort of "temporary position" next to the desk in my home studio. Instead of this setup I'm now looking for monitor stands that ables me to get a better position for the monitors. I've came across two possible stands but before I go off and buy anything You guys might have better suggestions? From K&M: http://www.thomann.de/se/km_26740_monitorstativ.htm From Millenium: http://www.thomann.de/se/millenium_bs500_set.htm A possible problem I see is that the plate to put the monitor on is smaller than the Sceptre6. I don't know how much of a problem that is though... Any thoughts in this topic are welcome here! Regards David Fryxelius, Sweden |
I have a set of stands for my HS50's, and the plate is smaller than the speaker. I am not a big fan of it, but they seem to be stable enough for where they are.
For my sceptre's, I made my own stands for about $25 usd in wood. I originally made them for the S 8's, but my 6's are sitting on them now. Much sturdier. Very basic design. I made 2 platforms (per stand) to the dimensions of the S8's. Then used 2x4's on the 4 corners. The 2x4's are inside the perimeter, not screwed to the sides. 3/4" plywood for the platforms, finished up with some molding to spruce it up, and some foam to de-couple the speakers from the stands. |
I use these with my S6's with Auralex mo pads on them
