Dear Studio One users,

while older versions of Studio One are compatible with Windows 10 as well, the operating system obfuscates the version reported to the application, i.e. it pretends to be an older version of Windows. The Studio One 3.1 update for the first time explicitly targets Windows 10.

This change affects third party plug-ins running in Studio One in a way that they now see Windows 10 as underlying OS for the first time, too. Unfortunately, this has uncovered a compatibility issue with the PACE iLok copy protection.

Meanwhile PACE has confirmed the issue and provided a fix to Softube who also confirmed that the fix is working correctly. It will take some time for Softube and other manufacturers to update their plug-in installers. In the meantime there's a workaround you can use described in this Knowledge Base article:

We are sorry for the inconvenience this might cause you. Moving forward, we think it's the right way to make our products compatible with the latest version of Windows.

Best regards
The Studio One Crew
