This just in. With the overwhelming success of Studio One 6.1.1 Presonus has stated that V7 is just a step away. It will be powered by Chat GPT and will have sub zero latency.

After installing the new 6.1.1 update, my Studio One Professional won't open any of my song files. Upon clicking on any song (I've tried multiple), it starts opening and then Freezes on trying to open - on some songs it stops on loading Superior Drummer, on others the Audio I/O Manager.
How can I fix this urgently? Or how can I go back to the previous version? |

I suggest.you create your own new thread and give your full specs. The first thing you might want to try is disabling your plugins, chances are that one is misbehaving..Not being funny but in regards to rolling back studio one if you really need to do this (I strongly suggest troubleshooting) it's a simple Google away. Useful links: viewtopic.php?f=151&t=17142 https://support.presonus.com/hc/en-us/a ... Studio-One BTW I strongly suggest you take backups, ideally clone your hard drive before doing updates. At the very least back up your songs and data. BTW we don't know what you updated from, but if you updated from V5 or V4 etc chances are that this version is already on your machine.

FYI, It did not fix the timing issues I'm having when opening a v5 project in v6. Otherwise, some positive updates.

We Pay money for Updates but the program keeps getting worst By stating the word "we" I am assuming that you are not the only one experiencing this issue. Can you point me to where others are experiencing this specific problem?

I'm actually finding 6.1.1 to be super stable, and I haven't noticed anything at all being laggy. Not saying you aren't having issues, but I certainly haven't seen any others to qualify the "we" in your statement.

However "Blame Karma" is using an M1 without issue.
I think this and related posts should be moved to a separate thread to be troubleshooted if he ever returns.

timvannatta wroteHow can I fix this urgently? Or how can I go back to the previous version? Going forward, note that you can have different versions of Studio One installed. Before updating, I change the name of the existing installation to "Studio One old" or whatever. Then the updated version of Studio One installs in a new folder. This way you can always go back to the pre-update version without having to roll back.

(Studio One for me is VASTLY more stable and productive on my m1 Mac Studio using all silicon-native plugs than it was in any other configuration I've run in the past, on Windows or Mac.)
That being said, I've been receiving this message every time I launch since updating to 6.1. Not a big deal, just have to clear the dialog, but is anyone else seeing this? I can't find anything in the logs |
^ Directed towards Presonus.
What would help with the scripting error on the screenshot above is to at least give the filename with full path. (Edited!).
