I know it's a short period of time since I started this (and again, I appreciate all the info) but ima put this on the backburner for a while. The more I look, the more research I do, the more confusing it gets

I really don't want to just order one and then have to go through that merry-go-round if it's not exactly what I want, and the local places.....pretty meh so far.

Bye......

I still think its very possible. Start by going into some guitar shops. Acoustic guitar shops too. They are around usually. There are many even where I live. Play some guitars and use your ears for sound and judgement as to how comfortable you feel with the guitar in your hand. Compare prices to your budget.

Check into people selling guitars too privately too on platforms such on Facebook Marketplace. etc. And others in your country that specialise in selling platforms. There are some good deals to be had. Seek areas that you are willing to travel to meet the sellers. It's important you go and play them and check them out closely. These prices will be lower than in a guitar shop. And often some nice instruments turn up too. It's worth the short trips in these cases. I have picked up vintage synths in mint working condition for quite a lot less than on eBay etc..I am lucky in that I live only an hour away from a major city. The short driving trips are a good way to play CD's in the car and catch up on listening to music.

I am loving Jeff Beck at the moment big time. As I am sure many of you are too. He was such a unique and incredible player. That later band with Vince and Tal on bass is just incredible. The modern Jeff Beck.

Just to be clear, I've done that. I've now been to 3, and I wouldn't have anything I've played so far, at any price.

It seems to be a much tougher go that electric, I'm old enough that I KNOW what I want now. But like you say, I'll keep trying.

And no, I'm NOT opposed to used, that's fine. But I have to find one I want first
