I’m looking to create a similar sound with frequency shifting to some hi-hats similar to the sound in this shirt clip I attached from a video:

If anyone has experience with Ableton and its stock frequency shifter plug-in could you let me know if there is an alternative to doing this in Studio One?

Also, I attached a YouTube video of a more detailed idea of the sound I wanna create mix-wise with the hi-hats. Any ideas?

PS don't have Ableton so no idea how dissimilar or close these are to what you need.

Okay thank you! I’ve already taken a look at the list you sent. I downloaded some of those in the past, but felt like I wanted to reach out here and ask incase there were any I could be missing.

On another note, do you have much experience with mix buss processing? I’ve got a mix bus chain set up as a template for all of my new sessions, this way when I am done creating music I can output all of the tracks to the mix bus and hear the volume crank, compression, saturation, etc. I was wondering if you have a mix bus chain and could lend some tips on how to approach it because I’m still learning what I need to apply there as far as what plug-ins and how much is needed to help each mix have a good start at sounding bigger. I like having this mix bus chain idea set up in my production sessions so that I can get an early listen at how the mix will sound.

My vote would be for the free Kilohearts Essentials plugins, "Frequency Shifter" and/or "Pitch Shifter", if all you want to do is shift the frequency/pitch in real time. Nothing fancy here, but they are light and simple and get the job done.

The Frequency Shifter is set by Hz and the Pitch Sifter is set by semitones.

Get all 32 plugins for free. They are useful!
