I am working on getting my Midas M32 to work as a control surface. So far, the M32 can operate faders and mute buttons in the daw. But it cannot operate solo button. Is this a limitation of MIDI mapping?
I'm upgrading to v5.5 soon, anything in v5.x that has improved this function? Also, the M32 can operate S1, but not vice versa. I'm going to try a custom program available online for X32 Midi to OSC, but if anyone has "been there done that" I would much appreciate any tips. Thank you -Zach |
That's a quality machine, does it recognize/use MMC or MTC?
S1 should be able to slave to one of those protocols. That was implemented in v5 I believe. In advanced options/ sync you set that up.

It can do OSC, Midi CC, Mackie HUI, or Mackie MCU.
Right now I can get M32 --> S1 (except SOLO buttons), but not the other way around. |
