Hi! (sorry my english) When i conect a Sennheiser dynamic mic or a shure sm57 on the channel 1 or 2, i have to raise up the knob almost to the max to get some volume. Maybe am i doing something wrong ? or is it just the interface?

So i have to buy windows 10 to solve this problem?
there is not other solution?

PD: From presonus replied me :

Thank you for the system file. It shows that your Studio 68 appears as connected and installed properly.

Dynamic mics require more power to get a decent level and are less sensitive than condenser mics.

We suggest testing with a condenser mic to get more head room.

SOLVED - Their response is correct regarding Dynamic and Condenser mics.

You just need to update to a supported Windows version if you'd like to use current versions of Universal Control.

Download UC for your version of Windows. During installation it will show a list of interfaces it has a driver for. If your interface is there then you should be fine.

Dynamic mics are typically used for high SPL instruments (brass, kick, ...) or very close range, think 2” or less (solo vocal, ...). Anything less loud or longer range you probably want a condenser mic for better output levels.
