I'd like to leave the Atom SQ plugged into my machine all the time but having the LEDs blazing all the time is a bit much. I know its possible to dial down the brightness of the display and the LEDs but it would be neat to have some way to put the thing to sleep and then wake it up when I need it. Thanks

Me too.
I'll also point out that it's common these days to have powered USB hubs where each port has individual on/off buttons. I have my ATOM SQ plugged into one of these, and I just power off that specific USB port when I'm not actively producing. I'll vouch for this one. Build quality is good. Buttons feel solid. No problems with anything I've plugged into it--even my iLOK USB. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G8 ... UTF8&psc=1 Just be aware that some USB controller devices don't like USB 3, so YMMV depending on your specific gear. For example, I vaguely recall that my Faderport 8 required a USB 2.0 port direct on the computer (and didn't work even through a USB 2.0 hub). |
Thanks for pointing out the USB hub with individual on/off buttons.
Hubs have been a setup and forget situation here. I'm going through a S1-centric home studio reorganization so now's a good time to add a new USB Hub. |
