I saw that many people don't know about the Music Editing toolbar that was introduced in Studio One 4.5. Seems in some case the toolbars were not automatically updated so some people only see the "old" V3 toolbars.
I made a video tutorial that shows how to activate the Music / Note Editing toolbar and what it can do (editing pitches, velocity, note lengths, randomizing things). Hope you like it.

Thanks so much and this is excellent. I felt your English was very very good and you did a lovely job on this. To be honest I did not know it was there either and it certainly opens things up and offers some huge possibilities. Well done! I can help others with it too in the forum.

Yes that's my feeling too. Quite a lot of people have never used the macro toolbar and if they do then maybe they don't ever see the new presets because of the update glitch. And I guess the best thing in my opinion is that you can combine these commands... like selecting every third note and change the velocity or randomize pitches for every second note. Some nice editing things are possible as well as creative things like mirror/reverse, randomize.

Thanks so much for this! I especially think I'm going to really like the reverse notes and
transpose functions. The mirror notes function might be super interesting too. I primarily play guitar, but sometimes I doodle with midi instruments, and these functions will surely help me get ideas. Very cool! |
