Leaving all of us to point fingers at each other like children for "not reading". Stop this, it's getting silly (Monty Python btw).

Remember that skit, very well. Lol.
"I could be arguing in my spare time".

I think we have to chalk this one up to another (thankfully rare) frustrated poster getting their frustrations out).

"Wahhhhhhh"

O: Look, if I *argue* with you, I must take up a contrary position!

M: Yes but it isn't just saying 'no it isn't'.

O: Yes it is!

M: No it isn't!

Love that bit....yes, I do!

Well, I'm fairly new to Studio One, but those insane CPU spikes are also a daily nuisance to me as well. My only and 1st project is freezing up on me all the time. This happens when duplicating a Midi Event of this single, specific track. I've already created a new track, moved all my Midi events to that new track, and deleted the old track and instrument. Also changed instruments. Still, the issue seems to be with the MIDI events themselves..... I really don't get it.
Also changing everything to 'Duplicate Shared' events to bring down the amount of actual stored MIDI information, but I'm typing this message while S1 is trying to figure it out and is spiking at 150% CPU again and spinning that beach ball.

Hardware Overview:

Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro14,3
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2,9 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 8 MB
Hyper-Threading Technology: Enabled
Memory: 16 GB
Boot ROM Version: 198.71.1.0.0
SMC Version (system): 2.45f0

Does any of this ring a bell?

You should really talk to Support and file a ticket with a video of what specifically is happening with what instrument etc. Folks on the forums here love to help (and there's nothing wrong wtih that) but mainly the threads on Performance issues like this just end up being a lot of people asking for each others specs and what other programs they're running and not a lot of tangible helpful info. I think Support is better equipped to help.
