Songs are loading much quicker - the previous version crashed a lot on me, so clearly there were some issues that needed solving. Its not been a good month due to the previous version - lets hope things are looking up.

I am all for new improvements, but get the main program working properly. That's what we all want.

The saving plugin preset issue seems to fixed in 4.6.1. Many thanks

The Tempo Track seems to no longer work properly. Previous version 4.60 was perfect.

Just tried it (admittedly, with a click only in a new project), but the tempo seems to follow the tempo track correctly.
What is the issue that you are experiencing?
Timestretch? Object Placement? MIDI related?

I was waiting for a point update since some were having issues with 4.6. Hopefully this addresses the infrequent crashes and Komplete Kontrol instability I was experiencing. I'll be updating soon as long as folks aren't reporting significant problems.

It's been a bit frustrating since transitioning from Logic to S1 4.5. Learning a new DAW and having it not cooperate is no fun.

Please post back here if S1 4.6.1 seems to work any better - and your issues are gone?

I installed 4.6.1 last nite and still have the audio dropout issue (like many others).
I always install the newest version in a new folder so to keep each version separate... w/ a desktop shortcut for each version.

My guess is a garbled 'PreSonus' file in this (C:\Users\scott\AppData\Roaming\PreSonus) folder that holds a lot of settings - I'm not sure how that is segregated for each new S1 version?

My last 3 projects relied heavily on the tempo track, and they are all working fine with 4.6.1.

I'm getting lots of crashing when booting up Studio One 4.6.1.55987. When I do get it loaded when I open old songs from previous version they won't open and crashes Studio One. Looks like Waveshell could be causing it by the report. Any ideas how to get it to stop crashing?

Waveshell is WAVES so you may need to get the latest version if your crash log is showing that. Maybe WAVES isn't ready for this version as well.

It could be helpful to know what version of Waves you are running.
Also, can you narrow your issue down to just one Waves plug or does it take more than one?
If so, which ones? Wave may want to know the answer to that as well.

For me, S1 was crashing after I did some Audio Bend work, closed without saving.
S1 Tech support had me whack my settings and that has resolved my issue.

They wrote:
An application settings refresh may help to settle things down a bit so please give that a try...

Go to Help>Open Settings folder.

Copy the contents of the folder over to a new folder on your desktop.

Close S1 and delete the contents of the settings folder with the exception of the user.license file as well as the "Extensions" folder.

Open S1 and go to Studio One>Options (Preferences on a Mac) to reconfigure your settings.

I have no idea if this is related to the 4.6.1 release, but I have a template with the click routed to channel 23 on my StudioLive 32 mixer. That template works, but when I tried to create a new template and save the click routing, it still comes out the main outputs rather than channel 23. I want to send the main output to channels 31 and 32 and the click to 23, but the click always comes out of 31 and 32. I've saved my old (working) template audio settings as the default and loaded them into the new template, but I get the same result -- click comes out of 31 and 32 instead of 23.

I must be doing something wrong, but after two hours of repeated failure I'm beat. Any ideas?

You're not alone. I've been working around trying to get my S1 working too.

I didn't think rebuilding my settings folder/file would change anything... as 'tothrec' stated above per Cust. Svc told him to do.

AFAIK, no one has a 'real' answer, we're all just trying this, that and other things.

There are some users who state they did such and such which helped but their 'fixes' didn't help me.

I'm getting momentary audio dropout in v4.6.0 and 4.6.1, so I'll try down loading v 4.5.X and installing it tomorrow.

I´ve found that some audio interfaces/drivers don´t work well with Process Precision set to 64 Bit in S1`s audio device settings.
Especially when I have to use devices through the FL Studio ASIO driver (kind of like the ASIO4All driver).
Sometimes opening the driver panel and switch buffersize back and forth to get S1 to "reconnect?" again has worked.
That might be other things to try out.
