Hey Guys:
I'm working in Studio One 4.6 Professional. I got a copy of Plugin Alliance's DSM-V3 and installed it. I can open the folder it's installed in and see the dll. I have Studio One scanning that folder, but the plugins doesn't show up in the list of FX. I've installed, uninstalled, reset blacklist, rebooted etc. but it never shows up. I scanned the folder in Cakewalk Sonar and the plugin shows up fine there. I have other PA plugins and they scan fine. Can anybody give me an idea of how to fix this. Thanks! |
I downloaded the 14 day trial and was able to install it successfully.
The VST3 should be installed in the "C:\Programs Files\Common Files\VST3" folder. Here's some screenshots to compare with your installation. Hope this helps.

How about screenshots for VSTPlugins location and the Blacklist screen (Plug-in Manager) in Studio One?

That's quite a few search paths that also include paths for 32-bit plugins!
However, I don't see the default (review my first response) for the VST3 plugin you want to install: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

jrcurtis wroteI created a path to common files>vst3. I can see the dll in there, but when I scan it doesn't show up in S1 Version 4, but it does show up in S1 Version 3. It also shows up in SONAR. Is there something I need to do in Version 4 that I'm missing? Based on the screenshot you posted it will be looking for a VST3 plugin (Not a VST2 dll) I'm a big fan of reducing the number of search paths for VST plugins to reduce the time it takes Studio One to scan them. Path for VST2 plugins: C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins\ Path for VST3 plugins: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

jrcurtis wroteI can find the dll in c>program files>cakewalk>VStplugins. Does the dll need to be in the Common files>Vst3 folder? That (.dll) is the VST2 and it must be left over from your previous installs. Look for the VST3. Please review the details in my previous responses or pm me if you still are having problems.

Both have different methods for scanning plugins. For me, scanning in Studio One 4 is faster. I really like the Plugin Manager.
The DSM-V3 VST3 plugin was easy to install for me. It works on both my laptop and desktop computers so at least I can confirm it works with Studio One Professional 4.6.1 on Windows 10 (1909). Why it doesn't work for you will require more troubleshooting. I didn't receive a pm from you so I'd recommend contacting support with the company you purchased the plugin for further assistance. Hopefully they can get it sorted out for you.
