Hello I have an issue with my Quantum 2
When I switch between apps (e.g Logic and Safari) the audio either starts to get mangled (sounds like a sample rate issue) or it stops altogether and I have to restart the driver within Logic audio pref. This is not a consistent behaviour, sometimes I get lucky sometimes not...not the stablest of drivers... Also I was expecting something better on the latency side Anyone experienced similar problems? I'm on Sierra 10.12.6 and have the latest drivers an UC

I thought when using a Mac you are using apple core audio not presonus asio driver. Also I you sure you downloaded Universal Control for macOS 10.12.6 Sierra?

Yes, I have downloaded the latest UC...issues still there, if I run audio from 2 apps at the same time eventually I will get garbled audio and driver failure (meaning I have to reload it inside apps like Logic).
This is on a freshly installed system with only Apple apps running without 3rd party plug ins etc. Doesn't happen with the internal soundcard or my RME... |
This happens to me very infrequently on Mac OS X, and it has ever since I got my Quantum. It sounds similar. viewtopic.php?f=359&t=32538
I guess i'll reopen the ticket since there's finally someone with a similar sounding issue. Maybe if a few people have it they'll figure it out. |
