From what I could gather from the manual, vids and forum posts, the Faderports are not yet capable of viewing scenes. Any chance this has changed?

Assuming no, what workarounds or equivalents have folks come up with, if any?

I tend to mix in groups of elements: Foundation instruments together (kick, snare, bass and anything emphasizing one of those elements); lead instrument and/or vocal; rhythm countering the foundation (percussion, guitars, keys); pads.

How are folks accomplishing this or similar? I'm strongly considering a Faderport 16, and this may be the deciding factor.
