phpBB [audio] For some reason I once got into my head a vision of large birds (eagles, condors?) soaring high and free above bare rock mountains - this is my poor attempt at capturing that in sound. it's just an initial version, so there's plenty still to do on it

Yes, this is very cool!
Definitely gives the listener a sense of floating or soaring. I really like it!

Thanks guys!
For this particular song, I still have to try to set a proper mix (note to self: LEARN HOW TO MIX!). Trouble is, it is very difficult to know when to stop tinkering

Not a poor attempt. It's beautiful, and captures the essence. Continue with it, as you stated it's in development.

Thanks very much - you know us artist-types - never satisfied
I believe this one to be probably my best so far, in saying that, it's from the POV of having I think gotten better at music rather than actually at this time being great at music - still, progress is always a good thing! You should hear some of the god-awful crap I did when I first started (with Sonar before S1) - those will remain forever locked away

To tell you the truth, Leo, I started with just Acid 6.0 loops. Then, I moved to LMMS and posted songs on Newgrounds' Audio Portal; Ableton Live, a MIDI Keyboard, and a Korg Electribe; Studio One Artist and AudioBox USB; microKorg XL; and finally with Studio One Professional. My LMMS music can be accessed from the NG part of my signature if you want to listen.
