Here's a new track that I'm getting close to finishing. I'm embarrassed to say it's the first tune I've done since upgrading to version 4 months and months ago.

Very well done!

Nice smooth melodic jazz sounds. I thought it was very well mixed and performed.

Guitar is maybe too present in the honky area of midrange.

This has a really nice and smooth vibe, with a luscious low end.
I do think I agree with hellpeople's comment...
I would suggest adding a touch of compression on a selected frequency range
(I'm sure exactly where) to reign in the guitar (just a bit, though)
All in all, great sounding composition and mix

Edit: Listened again on headphones (my phones are better than my budget monitors):
Now sounds about perfect as-is. Any "imbalance" could be some unconscious
by-product of whatever other music that I might have just listened to right before listening to this.

Atari 5200, 64K RAM S1PRO Radio Shack Cassette Recorder w/internal Mic, and too many plugins.

very mellow, and relaxing.
the drums are super smooth on this.
all the instruments blend well too, no clashing and each part stands out.

Thanks for the feedback. The guitar I was using has a midrangey tone to it and I think I'm just used to it. I swept the midrange and found the area around 1800Hz neeed some reduction. Don't know if it fixed what you are hearing, but it sounds better to me.

Thanks for checking it out. I made some adjustments between the first version that was posted and what is now up, so you may have heard the changed version through the headphones. Appreciate the comments.

Thanks for the comments. I didn't have too many tracks to deal with so that made it easier.
