Going to repost as old thread is BURIED!
FIRED UP the old faderport 8 and am playing with the plugin editor. Anyone know if it is possible to edit more than 8 parameters ? Each fader can be mapped to one parameter. |
I certainly hope it's available soon. This has been an enhancement request and a key missing feature since the product was launched.

[quote="matthewgorman"....but coming soon.[/quote]
Thanks @matthewgorman for your official PreSonus answer. BUT! When I see statements from company's with phrases like "coming soon" I'm in generally very suspiciously to this. It seems do be for company`s the term "coming soon" means everything but not "coming soon". I'm afraid that a BIG FP8/16 firmware update for Studio One users takes some years more . We have being waiting now for around 3 years for FP8/16 feature Requests like:
Make Faderport 8 reflect scene selection Please add the ability to control cue mix sends Two rows to display track/channel names more clearly on FP 8 screen shown on track view mode Don't show hidden tracks by default. Disarm All on Faderport 8 just to list the most important new features for FP8/16. I registered that in the past new FP8/16 features or improvements did announced for ProTools for Cubase for Logic users and so on but not for Studio One users! This is painfully at all! So dear @matthewgorman what does "coming soon" means for PreSonus? |
So dear @matthewgorman what does "coming soon" means for PreSonus? Don't know. I am only a forum moderator, not Presonus employee. My previous statement is about as far as I can go. |

matthewgorman wroteSo dear @matthewgorman what does "coming soon" means for PreSonus? All right @matthewgorman, thank you for your statement. I understand that every forum needs a moderator and a administrator. But in this case we are waiting for important FP8 updates/features at least for 3 years! And nothing happens! Can here please an official PreSonus employee explain, how and when the company PreSonus will take attention to the feature Requests for FP8/16. This secretiveness is a very horrible scenario. |
Check out the new Faderport features with the latest version of the firmware and Studio One 4.5.5. You'll be very surprised and happy, I hope. I know I am.

matthewgorman wroteThe wait is indeed over. Enjoy folks. Yes, Sir! About 3 years waiting is fortunately over. And even further more. It seems to be that the folks from PreSonus are not only reading carefully the feature requests from Studio One. This is a very important indicator for all PreSonus customers buying different gear from this company. Thanks a lot for this. Cheers! |
