I received an email from Celemony saying Melodyne 4.2.4 is available with bug fixes, etc. I once had a horrible experience upgrading a version of Melodyne, so i was wondering if anyone has had a successful experience with the new version.

I am currently on version 4.1 if that matters much.

Updated and working just fine here (Melodyne Studio). FWIW I always do a HDD image of my system drive using Paragon before major updates. That way if there are any issues at all it is a 5 minute job to roll back. I have been stung in the past as well. All good this time though:)

The main gotcha is that people don't realise you don't need to install additional software when you upgrade (unless it's a major point release behind). You just enter the serial number of your existing application and go, then check for updates.

I am running Essentials with the latest Studio One V4.5. The Melodyne 4.2.4 update went well as it usually does. It is well worth it for this update. There are release notes for this and they have improved a few things with Studio One and fixed some bugs too.
