I have created a tempo map in Melodyne Studio. I have exported this from Melodyne.

How do I now import the tempo map into an existing song in Studio One?

Thanks

I don't think there is a way to import tempo data - I just tried it, and couldn't get it to work.

That's what I thought - I know there are ways to identify tempos within SO, so I will look into that. Thanks.

I successfully imported a tempo map into SOP 4.0, which was created in Reaper, so there should be a way...

EDIT - it works with a NEW project in SOP.
Hopefully Presonus will update that feature to apply it to an EXISTING project (song).

The trick with Reaper was it had to be a MIDI track with at least one note.
Once imported, the clients tempo map resembled a city skyline, so I'm VERY glad we got it to work!

If you have Melodyne Studio, you can export a Tempo Map, or MIDI file:

In Melodyne Studio 4, under the File menu drop-down is "Export"
In the Export dialog box, you can select "Tempo Map".
You can also select "MIDI".

I know MIDI works, as mentioned - we did it with a MIDI file from Reaper.
You may wish to try the Tempo Map too.

Import or drag the MIDI file into SOP.
Then drag it up to the tempo lane.

There are videos showing it online - just search "import tempo map into Studio One".

I have not done it with Melodyne, but believe it should work one way or the other.
Celemony also has great instructional videos.

EDIT - You can also try editing a track in an existing project with Melodyne, then apply the tempo in Melodyne to the track, then bring the track back into your SOP song, and do the drag-to-tempo lane thing...

Let us know what you find out!

Thanks - there was no issue exporting the tempo track (and MIDI) from Melodyne, but when I tried to drag the exported file into the existing Studio One song, nothing happened.

I think the issue is that you are attempting that with an existing song in SOP.

I had to create a new song, then drag the MIDI file in.
(I think you can also use a file manager and drag the file onto the “create a new song” tab on the opening SOP screen, which should launch a new song with your tempo map.)

The SOP videos on this all start with dragging a tempo map into a new song...
...maybe Presonus will give us that ability one day.

The other option is to edit a track in the existing song with Melodyne.

See if this article will load for you, as it has some great info on this topic:
