I have the studiolive 24.4.2.
can that cascade or link or chain what ever the term called, and get the 25~32 channels?
I accidentally purchased an older FP10 and its "Status driver unlinked" and I think thats the older chip so wont ever work.

However the Firestudio 24/26 will work?
I just need more inputs, not control, just more channels for my TR-909

You cannot use FireStudio interfaces with the Classic SL 16.4.2 or 24.4.2.

Those two mixers can ONLY be expanded with ANOTHER mixer of the SAME MODEL.

Example:
24.4.2 + 24.4.2 = 48 channels
16.4.2 + 16.4.2 = 32 Channels

No other combo will work.

The 16.0.2 is the ONLY one that can daisy chain with FireStudio Interfaces. Please read the article below.

That's for a 16.0.2. It's different, as the article I posted states.

Also, it's not Cubases driver, its the StudioLive's. Cubase communicates with the driver so it knows what the I/O for the hardware is.

You need to read your manual.

The FireWire driver allows 8 'extra' FireWire sends. These are configurable inside of UC. Basically, those channels are available so you can send Aux Bus mixes or FX buses to the computer.

Read section 3.7.1 in the Software Reference Manual:

Would you be so kind as to explain how you did this? I also have a spare Firestudio Project kicking around and I'd like to have those extra channels. I'd appreciate the knowledge you possess!
