Using faderport8 with a 16 track project

I usually am recording 16 tracks at a time, and currently I have a FP classic.

Naturally I just arrow back and fourth to select the tracks I want to work on and all is good.

However I really want to upgrade to FP8.

My question is can the FP8 be used on a 16 track project? Do I have to pin a slider on the FP8 tona specific track in S1? Or does it move about dynamically like the FP classic?

Looks like there is just some sort of toggle button that will move to the next 8 tracks.
