Does not look like it works in demos. Good time to get a supported version while they are on sale.

The demo IS full featured. MP3 support is an ADDON:
MP3 Converter is an extension that adds professional-quality (up to 320 kB/s) MP3 encoding and drag-and-drop MP3 decoding to Studio One Artist 2.6.2 and higher. U.S. pricing: MP3 Converter $9.99.

mp3 is the only functionality that does not work in the Pro demo. There is a licensing fee for mp3 encoders, which is probably why it is not included in a free trial.

If you have to use an MP3 just re capture it, or if you can convert the MP3 to a wave file, waves drop right in. Our singer is on Artist and he has just re-captured any MP3's if he had to import it into a track. He is using an iTwo Audiobox, plugged his phone into the iTwo input hit play/record and captured. We use that as a temp work around for scratching ideas and fast sharing.
But with the sale going on NOW is a perfect time to upgrade. I just downloaded Pro yesterday lots of extra goodies well worth the upgrade. |
