On PC the AR Series mixer drivers allow loopback of one stereo channel from the computer back to the computer. For this purpose the driver creates an extra pair of Virtual Inputs on top of the mixer’s physical inputs to the computer.

But Capture does not offer a track to record these virtual inputs. Instead the loopback option adds the signal to the track(s) for mixer channels 1&2. This can be inconvenient, especially because these are the only mixer channels with instrument input capability.

Dedicated tracks in Capture would allow mixer channels 1&2 and the virtual inputs to be recorded separately. I entered a feature request for this extra track in Capture. If this is useful to you then please vote it up
