Here's a cover of Talk To Your Daughter by JB Lenoir I just finished. This is the Robben Ford version and my first tune using Scuffham S-Gear amp simulation which is absolutely amazing! All done in Studio One 4. Hope you like it!
Peace!

Thanks everyone for the kind words! Full disclosure though, that's not me singing. I actually recorded all of the instrument tracks myself (i.e. drums, bass, piano, B3 organ and lead guitar) but used isolated vocals from a Karaoke website that I purchased and dropped in.
It's not something I'd publish commercially of course but a fun way of playing with a singer without actually having a singer! It also helped me learn how to EQ vocals add reverb and delay and mix it into the track.
Peace!

Nice work
Great tones all round there. A nice balance of instruments and well played. Care to give us a run down on the production? |
hello people wroteNice work Thanks for the kind words! Production on this song was fairly simple. I used EZdrummer for the drum tracks taking beats from the Blues EZX. The piano is the Scarbee EP-88 and the Hammond B3 is the GSI VB3.through Klanghelm IVGI saturation and DC1A compressor. The bass is the Scarbee Music Man through Overloud Mark Bass. I processed the vocals though Izotope Nectar elements and used a Cakewalk CA-2a compressor to level the dynamics then added Soundtoys EchoBoy Jr. for slap back. The S-Gear sound was the Boutique Blue patch that I tweaked a bit mostly adding a bit more reverb. I used a Cort CR-200 gold top LesPaul style guitar with the bridge pickup. I usually start with the drums then add keyboards and bass and try to get as many first takes as possible on the guitar trying not to over play it and have it go stale. I don't play keyboards so I track those parts using a Casio MG-510 midi guitar and clean it up in my DAW after. I use PreSonus Studio One. I just mix as I go along. I mastered the song using Izotope Ozone.
Peace!
