Interesting tune. Has some promise to have it go maybe just a little further. Would you be interested in having some drums laid on this - played by a drummer on an e-kit (Mimic Pro) converted over to individual audio tracks?

Drummer and Singer mostly with some limited Guitar/Bass/Keys and a love for tech.

Quite nice, you've got some really nice sounding, wide sounds going on.
I like the main groove but the break (2:00-3:12) seemed too long and it got lost for me.

Hey, your signature shows Germany. ;)
Are you familiar with "Maxxess" (Max Schiefele) on KLANGDESIGN Records?
He's also teamed with Axel Stupplich of Pyramid Peak for a one-off record under the band name "Pyramaxx".

Thanks for your comment, Scott. The break is actually a solo part, maybe the guitar got lost a bit in the mix. The synth sounds are coming from the 2Tone Icarus Wavetable Synth and Waves Flowmotion mainly and i used the Abbey Road TG Mastering Chain plugin on quite some channels.
PS:
I don't know neither Maxxess nor Pyramaxx, but found some tunes of Max on youtube - nice one.

I agree with the "nice mix of instruments" comment - you've got a lot going on and it's put together very well! And yes, the guitar could come forward in the solo section a bit more. Nice piece!

Is that you on guitar?

Hi Mike, thanks for your comment, much appreciated.
All instruments on my tracks are played by me, unless i mention a participant. In the 80s i owned a beautiful Ibanez Blazer BL500, but sold it one day to a friend. Today i use a guitar VST and play it on my keyboard.

Nice, oliver P! I just heard this.
I like the energy. The breaks, the Fat fifth synth in the middle. Love the bass movement. Guitars (keys I presume) are nicely mixed and spread out. Good use of pitch and mod wheel. Mix is very good as well.
Keep up the good work!

Hi James,
many thanks for your kind comment. Indeed i came up with the idea for the bassline first, right after listening to a King Crimson tune with John Wetton on bass - beside Geddy and Chris Squire one of my favourite bassplayers in the 70s. Pitch and modwheel are good friends of mine, nice one you pointed that out.

Greetings from Germany to NYC and have a nice weekend.

Understood. Those were some magical years for KC with Wetton.

That happens to me on occasion, where hearing those   songs really inspire writing. At the very least, they fill ones head with amazing possibilities.

I think I'd fill the page if I started mentioning Bass players, but Chris Squire ranks very high. Tony, and Jaco also come to mind.

I still have a 67' Fender P I bought around 1981. I eventually replaced the neck with a Shecter C neck. That guitar doesnt know how to go out of tune. Action = butter.

Enjoyed the music, and it's good to know some get it!
For example: Rubber Room. I start getting all Adrian Belew! Lol.

Hi Oliver

Only just gotten around to listening to this - as with the other comments, very, very nice! Though not my type of music - still really good quality!

I think the short bit at 1:52 almost sounds like something Steve Hackett would do

I agree Leo. The Hackett comment is very reminiscent of Steve. Quite a compliment. One of, if not my all time favorite guitarists (I learned "Horizons" and "Blood on the Rooftops" note for note, back when there wasn't any YouTube, so I had to really break it down). Nice call. Sounds like that Fernandez Les Paul (heavenly).

I get a little bit of Tony Banks influence from those keys. Sorry, probably horrible of me to use a comparison, but I add it only as a positive. The material is uniquely original, which is the sincerest form of flattery.

I should add, keyboards when done right, can produce some really quality guitar leads. Primarily electric Piano going through the right pedals. I remember quite a few years back, late 90's, a Sam Ash store here in NY, a keyboard salesman, great guy I'd deal with a lot, we used to laugh at how hot the leads he was getting out of this Kurzweil patch, through some signal processing. People would come by from the guitar department, saying what is that guitar?
He would get just the right guitar bends and express tension really well. The nature of a good piano patch is a hammered string, and it can be really hot sounding for a guitar fundamental. The other approach of course is sampled guitar leads which is what I hear, but with some nice expression.

Anyway, I think the Hackett reply just says it's reminiscent of that sort of playing. Steve hackett got some very sustained, and processed sounds that were very cool (Firth of fifth, Dance on a volcano, Fly on a windshield, etc.). Cheers.

I also like the Fat synth going on here.
