Apologies if I’m not making this clear but is there a way (enabled with either a single mouse click or a single key press) to toggle between two tracks playing soloed?

To put it another way - I Have a song with say, seven tracks in total. I'm hearing one track on its own but then I want to switch instantly so I'm hearing another track on its own.

Okay thanks.
Does that mute all the other tracks irrespective of whether or not they're already soloed?

as I recall it does with exception of those solo saved.

There are two other solo mouse click combinations

shift solo - solo save, meaning include these always when soloing, like for effect send tracks etc.
ctrl solo - global solo, toggle all solo on/off

Select a number of tracks, and solo - soloes all those etc.

Thanks for those tips,
In my old DAW (Sonar) you could mute selected audio events by hitting the K key
Is there any equivalent in S1?

I think I had Q key to do that in Sonar, but probably configurable.

There are key commands connected in S1 as well, check out the config dialog and look around.

Also check out macro toolbar in S1 to do very powerful stuff.

I got a tip - Ctrl mouse wheel - to change size of fonts in help system.

If I'm not misunderstanding what your looking for, "solo follows selection" is a more straight forward way.

I had this same question today and this solution worked. Nice & simple. I am busy recording acoustic guitar using a number of different settings & I want to be able to switch quickly between tracks.

thanks much.
