Why can I use W H Q E S to enter durations but not ABCDEFG to enter note pitches?
OSX El Capitan Ver 10.11.6
Duh! I wasn't in step mode Cmd+E. Solved.
MacBook Pro 15 in.  OSX El Capitan
Ver 10.11.6 Notion 5 Logic 9 other DAW's as well.
