I'm 90% sold on this product but I need to know If i can lock in scales and play only the keys that are in that particular scale. This would be very helpful for someone who doesn't really play the keys. I know Ableton Push has this feature and would like to know if Presonus Atom also has it.

Looking at the Atom manual not as such directly. As we don't have it yet it is hard to tell. But there is a scale setting within the inspector for an instrument track. In this mode the keys are illuminated as such and note pitches are quantised to the scale.
So it depends on how Atom works when in scale mode. The pads may also illuminate the scale as well. We will have to just wait and see I guess. I have one on back pre order so as soon as I have it I will report back on this for sure.
