FYI - I see that UC 2.9.2 is available for the 192. In light of the recent issues with 2.9.0 and 2.91, I have opened a support request to understand if this version should be save for the 192. I'll post a reply when I hear back.

I doubt you will get a reply saying that the posted UC 2.9.2 update is not safe for the 192...

So, FYI...
I updated my UC and the associated Studio 192 firmware without issue. And yes, I too was bricked by the recent (September 2018) updates. So this was installed on my new replacement unit. I am several hours into using it without issue. Also... I have restarted my PC and my 192 unit several times just to test it a bit. No issues noted. ;)

Old info:
UC version 2.8.0.48221
Studio 192 firmware version DSP v 1.8-39

New info:
UC version 2.9.2.49805
Studio 192 firmware version v 1.8-43

Regards 8-)

Since you've had success, I'll probably give it a shot on my unit. I actually pick up my replacement unit from my retailer today.

My 192 didn't get bricked when updating to the problematic v2, and I was a little apprehensive updating it to this version, but I did, and thankfully everything went well without problems... Phew!!

I installed 2.9.2 + firmware update with no issues. Looks like the problem is resolved.

Darn - 2.9.2 seems to have bricked my Studio 192 USB. Red ring around power light, UC info screen showing 'DSP w[invalid] / USB v.0.00 / Bootloader v0.00. Curiously, the serial number does show in this screen.

I tried rolling UC back to a 1.5 version so I could do a "install anyway" firmware rollback but the 192 is incommunicado. I've power-cycled, rebooted, restored my Win 10 backup from last evening (pre 2.9.2 update) nothing is working.

I have opened a ticket for this with Presonus support.

I wanted to warn others to perhaps wait on installing 2.9.2 if you have work pending. I went against my self-imposed advice (don't install updates with work pending) based on the positive results from other folks on 2.9.2 and I got burned.

Any help will be appreciated.
