Hi Folks,

I'm working on a relatively old Mac so I use Track Transform to free up CPU power.

Is there a way to see what plug-ins a track uses after it's been transformed other than reverting to real-time audio?

Cheers,

The initial (untransformed) track should still be visible with those plugins that were used. If it isn't visible, go to the track list (expand it, and it will open at left), and open the original track there. The same holds for the channel view, and you can expand channel list there as well. Expanding the channel view (click the dot for that channel), you will see the effects that were used. You can leave those unused channels open, but they tend to be in the way. If you revert the transformed track back to the instrument, the program automatically makes those visibility adjustments. In this case, you have to initiate it

Remember, it also comes down to when you start an audio rendering, you are given some options to select.
Render inserts,
Reserve instrument track state,
Remove instrument
Auto tail.

Thanks for the reply. I can't see the original track - could you explain where I need to look.

Cheers!

Hey Chris,

Sure, I was looking for a view of it when responding. On my phone, so it was a tad more difficult to pull up the right illustration easily. :)

In short,

Where the 3 horizontal bars are, at top left of the arrangement screen opens the track list.

For the mixer channels, open the mixer and at the left, will be another set of horizontal bars. That will open the channel list. (These can also be linked, but best to view this video.

This video may shead some light on further track/channel viewing (not viewing previous transormed effects).

you can cut to chase by going to:

0:55 open track list
2:50 to see clucking in circles opens hidden tracks.
3:30 view channel list. (Here's where you would then open and view any effects from some originally used track).
10:42 arrows to expand tracks  (where there may be more to those tracks.

As to viewing previous effects used, you'll have to delve into that yourself, but previous tracks before transforming may very well show up as long as you have the traceability for them, and didn't remove them or their effects in the transform process. There's only limited info I have not knowing what selected when you transformed tracks.
Hope this helps. I'd check the hidden channels, then view what effects are on that channel parallel to the transformed track.

When transforming an instrument with EFX, you have a choice to render the EFX or not. If you don't render it, it will still be visible as an insert. If you render the EFX, it will not.

When rendering an audio track with inserts, the inserts will not be visible afterwards.

Go to the browser Files > Studio One and browse the song contents. You will see a folder named Presets > Transformed Inserts in the song with a list of and direct access to all of the plugins that were used on transformed tracks.

Yes, I can see all that. After I transform a track all I can see is the transformed track and not the original.

I may have misunderstood the original question and pardon if so but effects from Transformed tracks are no longer in use. If you want to see what they were, what FX got printed to audio during Transform, look in the browser.

Edit: Obviously, if you don't check Preserve Realtime State the song won't keep a reference to any of that. We assume that he had that box checked since he asked ... "Without Transforming back..." as that would be the only way to Transform back, if he had checked that box.

That's an interesting take, and I'll have to try that. I'm curious if that takes into consideration what Bbd and I mention about the selections at the time of rendering.

Sound like it ignores it.

Cool.
