Am I right in thinking this is "normal"?

Every second this polls...

Can't say I'm excited about the behaviour...

Thx

This is normal.

It's a message to ensure that the connection between the DAW and FaderPort is still active. This has been implemented for some time now.

You can configure it as a Mackie Control surface in Logic, and that horrible sound stops in Logic. However, it still wreaks havoc in MainStage. I finally removed FaderPort from my setup. It's in the closet now.

This action is a pain in the ask no questions. Yes I understand the reasoning behind it but if it is always there and the same surely it can be filtered out from the display. If I want to see what my synth is communicating, with two faderports, it is next to impossible to see messages.

No. New Faderport is silent while you are not touching it. I have both are Faderport and FP8. Yes I have also noticed the fact FP8 is sending this but it has not seemed to have effected anything though in terms of normal operations etc.

Just out of interest the message I get regularly is a poly pressure message. I see that is different from you were getting. I can just click poly pressure in the midi filter area at the top of the page and it all stops and goes silent.
