These libraries are not new to the market, but they are new to me and I've spent some time setting up rulesets to get them to play nicely within Notion. Although the library developers say they are not suited for use with notation programs, I think it's a testament to the flexibility and ease of use of Notion that after only a couple of days of experimentation I can get the kind of results in the link below.

One interesting aspect of these libraries (along with a piano, they're the initial releases in a series of complete orchestral libraries) is that they are recorded in the same studio space (thus the name) in Australia. The sound is very clean, and because the ensemble strings and the solo strings were recorded in the same venue using the same microphones they are very compatible. The Solo Strings have been used in my recording as "first chairs" to add detail and realism to the ensemble. I think it works quite well, but let me know what you think!

Here's a link to the developer's site: http://Cinematicstudioseries.com

And here's my recording, Ralph Vaughan Williams' Rhosymedre (I've posted it here before using other libraries; it's my go-to piece for testing):

Here's an additional recording made with these libraries, con sordino. I like the detail possible with the solo strings in combination with the ensembles.

Thanks Michael for this other nice example of what's possible when just a few judicious sprinkles of "presence" are used at the exact right moment, to let the intended ambience come across.

Beautiful tone and arrangement. I love how warm and organic the strings sound.
Very impressive!
