Has anybody else had a problem with Melodyne studio 4 not able to process polyphonic in Studio one 3? I've been trying to figure it out for a while now, nothing. Melodyne support has been responsive, but they haven't been able to figure it out yet either.

It only works with the upgrade to Editor or above.
I have Editor (some good reductions on the upgrade path still) as the version above that was not needed by me. The Polyphonic mode works well with Editor for me. But you have to select Polyphonic as an option and Melodyne re-examines the audio to render it in Polyphonic mode.
Please note that I may express opinions that are different from yours but I do not intend to cause offence.

A few things to check:
1. Go to Help/About... in Melodyne. It should show Melodyne Studio 4.1.xxxxxx, and your iLok ID. 2. Go to Algorthim/Set Default. It should say Automatic 3. If both of those are correct, select at least one note, and go to Algorithm/Polyphonic Sustain, and it should redetect the passage as polyphonic. |
I do have the latest version of Melodyne, it is not associated with my iLok though. It never has been. I tried setting default to automatic and only selecting a small section of a track. Same results.

I don't doubt that you have the latest version. I was suggesting that you check in the "About" while you're running in Studio One to see if it showed up as the right version in Studio One, or if Studio One was pulling the wrong version for some reason.
Anyways, that's all I got... You probably want to open a ticket with Melodyne. |
Ah, ok. Yes it seems that it is running in Studio one the same as stand alone, and both are newest update. I have opened a ticket with support about a week ago. They are responsive, we've exchanged about 12 emails so far, but they haven't quite figured it out yet.

it is like you have more than one version running.
Do you by chance have an essential and Studio installed?

No, only studio installed. I've been using it without issue since January. Only recently I've been having problems. I thought maybe it was either the last Studio One V3 update, or the last windows update.
