I really want to install v4, but the initial flurry of "it's removed my v3 license" issues gives me pause. I want to run 4 and 3 side by side, and won't risk the install if I'm gonna have to dick around with the already well settled install of 3.
From what I've read it seems the issue isn't with v4 per se, but rather a glitch at Presonus' end regarding their license...uhh...monitoring (for lack of a better term). Got the holiday weekend here, with some free time - so are we good to go? Absolutely? Fer Sure? Really? Thanks! |

I purchased and installed version 4 upgrade on the 25th and have version 3 and 4 working on the same system side by side. Both keys are in my acount and both versions are fully working. Glad i waited
 Version 4 makes a new folder alongside version 3 and should auto detect everything from 3. Just create a new license for 4 on your acount, download the new impact XT soundset and the interactive manual for version4 and your good to go. You should end up with a version 3 logo and a version 4 logo on your desktop so you can fire up 3 or 4 at will. This worked for me with no problems.  |

Is the licensing system going to try to default to the existing one and I'll have to override that? It's just been ages since I've done an update - rather ask the questions about that now than be asking how to fix things later.. Thanks Gary! btw - I'm going to go ahead and purchase/download right now, but hold off on installing until I'm sure of the best procedure... |

No you end up with having 5 activations for version3 like normal and 5 for version 4. You just have to make a new activation for 4 for it to work. Your version 3 should work and stay exactly as it is now.
I also was worried like you and waited till the 25th but i am glad to say i am using both 3 and 4 and the process was realy easy. You end up with 2 small windows on your acount once you add your purchase of version 4. one window for version 3 and one for 4 so there separate activations so to speak.

I bought it right after the livestream on May 22 and had the annoying lost v3 license issue, I put in a support ticket right away, and it has since been resolved, and now I have both v3 and v4 up and running just fine. Enjoy the weekend and have fun with S1 v4!

Recently bought and installed with no issues (V3 and V4).
Intel i9 9900K (Gigabyte Z390 DESIGNARE motherboard), 32GB RAM, EVGA Geforce 1070 (Nvidia drivers).
Dell Inspiron 7591 (2 in 1) 16Gb. Studio One Pro 6.x, Windows 11 Pro 64 bit, also running it on Mac OS Catalina via dual boot (experimental). Presonus Quantum 2626, Presonus Studio 26c, Focusrite Saffire Pro 40, Faderport Classic (1.45), Atom SQ, Atom Pad, Maschine Studio, Octapad SPD-30, Roland A300, a number of hardware synths. |

Just to follow up - installed and seems to be running just fine, v3 is untouched. I'll comment on a few things in other posts. But if you, like me, have been concerned, it looks like smooth sailing on install.
