During my daily break-time browsing, I found this is now free.

The web-page is compelling so I'm going to give it a try to check its accuracy and features. ;)

Maybe others will find it useful?

Well it is not generating random riffs which what it could imply.

It does other stuff to help you learn songs and from that point of view it is an excellent tool. Anything that helps the process of figuring something out is fine by me. Identifying chords. Great. Slowing things down, isolating solos or taking them out all together, also great as well. It just shows how powerful some software can be. And free as well.

Excellent for my music class on Fridays where our music students are often learning pop songs. Working out chords. This will help. The main thing for me is the playback keys can be altered as our music kids are often wanting the song in a different key. This will help them big time. And speed it up or sow it down. Even just that facility without the chord detection makes it worthwhile.

I have already installed this on my iMac as well.

Generates chord pattern which seems pretty cool, I tried it on one of my mp3's.

No way to export the chord pattern, pencil and paper maybe.

Unless I'm missing something again.

I paid for it and find it useful to play guitar along with it - the chords are not always 100% accurate but they are in the ballpark - useful for finding the correct minor pentatonic scale. You can loop sections , change key, speed up or slow down. So I like it - clearly as I upgraded to a paid version.

Please note that I may express opinions that are different from yours but I do not intend to cause offence.
