Got an older Firestudio 26x26. Never had a serious issue until recently. It appears to sync. flashing light is solid blue, but when I click on it, it says device not connected. Bought a new cable, same thing. Installed new drivers, same thing. Haven't made any hardware changes or connected to internet. Just stopped working. Really like this unit and don't want to trash it, anyone had this happen?

Need more details. What driver was installed, what OS are you running, etc etc.

my apologies, I am using Windows XP SP2, Dell Computer, Presonus Driver was updated to latest driver after it crashed. Installed and did not change. So I dug out the First installation CD version 1.01. Just to start over. Installed ok, so I am looking for what may have gone wrong. Still same result.

I know Firestudios are not supported anymore, I would send it in. It appears to be physically syncing. The light blinks at startup and becomes solid blue. So I know the physical connection is OK.

Any ideas are appreciated, I do have an Audiobox as well. Love Presonus stuff, just want to keep the Firestudio.

Uninstall the current UC that you have on the system via these instructions

http://support.presonus.com/entries/229 ... t-Windows-

Then install the driver from this page:

http://www.presonus.com/products/FireStudio/downloads

Repair is no longer an option for the 2626 unfortunately

yeah I did that, tried it one more time. Weird thing is that if I have the 1394 cable disconnected from the firestudio, then power it on it will blink for a few seconds then go to solid blue. even with the cable disconnected
