With the release of the new MacBook Pro and MacBook, Apple is depreciating Firewire as a high speed interface for Thunderbolt 3 / USB-C. The USB-C trend is where everything is going in the PC world.

What are the PreSonus Plans in this regard? Will there by a new option card offered to update interfaces?

If not, what options exist for use with the newer computers.

Thunderbolt is adaptable to firewire.

Yes, that adapter works from a thunderbolt 1/2 to FW 800 and is supported by PreSonus - works well.

In order to use on Thunderbolt 3/USB-C, you will have to plug that adapter into a Thunderbolt 3 to 2 Adapter. Have you tested this double adapter out?

Still doesn't change that firewire 800 is gone, is there a plan for a new option card in the works with USB-C?

Just found this on the PreSonus site, which is why I am asking about the new option card.
