I am having issues with my Faderport. Please help.

I just purchased a Faderport and I am using Pro tools 11 with Windows 7x 64 bit. Faderport works except I cannot upgrade the firmware as I get the "Error: Could not find Faderport Control" however, in my computer under "Devices and Settings" my Faderport shows up in "Upgrade mode". Also, The Fader Mode lights for (Read, Write, and Touch) do not light up. There is a quick flash of light when I press each one but it does not stay lit. I have no way of knowing what mode I am in unless I look at the screen which defeats the purpose. When I downloaded the install link from Presonus website I think it is firmware version 1.3.5?
