Hello,
I have been using a FP classic successfully for about 4 months now, but last night it caused my computer to shutdown.
Every time I reboot, I get the following message:
"USB Device over current status detected...
I have tested all the usb ports (2.0 and 3.0) and get the same results on each. Unplugged all the other USB devices one by one; each one starts up fine, but when the FP is plugged in, then bam, I get the aforementioned message and shutdown.

I fear its dead, but still want to exhaust every option. Was thinking I'd buy a powered USB hub just to see if it affects the situation. Is it even worth purchasing one?

Any "current" gurus know about the power issues I'm experiencing?

Thanks...

Another thought... I don't use the motorized fader as the unit didn't come with a power supply. If I get a power supply, do you think it would remedy the problem?
Thanks again...

Bought a powered USB hub to try and fix the problem... it worked well for about three weeks, then poof, the same problem... I think it may be a bad usb port on the computer itself...anybody?????
