Using SHIFT and the pan button on the Fader Port One allows me to move the time marker one bar at a time.
How can I reduce these increments? The quantize grid settings does not seem to do anything... Thanks! (Edited for corrections).

Dell Inspiron 7591 (2 in 1) 16Gb. Studio One Pro 6.x, Windows 11 Pro 64 bit, also running it on Mac OS Catalina via dual boot (experimental). Presonus Quantum 2626, Presonus Studio 26c, Focusrite Saffire Pro 40, Faderport Classic (1.45), Atom SQ, Atom Pad, Maschine Studio, Octapad SPD-30, Roland A300, a number of hardware synths. |
I just tried mine. Moves one bar at a time in either direction.
When I use it, it shows up as the FaderPort encoder, but no parameter is shown, so it's gotta be a Native mode thing. No reference in the User Guide. An initial quick Google turned up nothing either. I also checked the faderport.surface.xml file in C:\Program Files\PreSonus\Studio One 3\devices\PreSonus\FaderPort and found no reference to the state of SHIFT engaged and ENCODER (pan knob) operated. Puzzled. |
I should have written it moves one bar at a time my bad.
Question is how to change this? Are we stuck? Thanks..

Amazed they haven't sorted this, seems kinda obvious thing to do, otherwise it's back to flipping between the mouse. Is this the same with Faderport 8 or 16?

You could use markers (Shift-Mark (Loop). Then Shift-Next (User) and Shift-Previous (Punch) to move between markers.

Kinda crazy we can't zoom into beats or even into more detail. There are no real workarounds other than use a mouse

Maybe I'm hallucinating but this appears fixed with Studio One Version 4 and latest Fader Port One classic firmware (recently released). Seems to move by the beat.

Bbd wroteJust checked on my side and it still works only one bar at time. You've updated the firmware in the last few weeks?
