T10 Volume is being dynamically "capped" somehow ?

Hi there!
I've got my Presonus Temblor T10 for a couple of days by now, and I noticed that whenever I crank up the volume a bit, it starts responding accordingly, but about a second (or even less) after my volume adjustment, it goes down, as if electronically adjusted not to go beyond some threshold.
If so, I would wonder WHY there is a volume knob at all (in my T10 it seems to work only for only 1/10th of the full volume range, then it gets "capped".
¿ Anyone experienced something similar ?
