I noticed that some sellers are showing the Sceptre S8 power light is now in the middle of the port instead of on the side. Was this a manufacturing change?

I believe so. It's been a while since I have been in the Presonus facility, but the new ones I see on Amazon, etc, have the light moved as you indicate. My S8s have it on the side.
