Just as the header says, really.

I bought the ultimate bundle to try my hand at recording from home and since using the monitors I've noticed the active speaker isn't putting out as much as the passive one. I've only had everything for a few days now, and purchased on the 30th November to be shipped to me.

I first noted the problem when I plugged the speakers directly into my laptop to listen to a YouTube video. I used the RCA cable included with the speakers and later noticed more of the same issue when trying to record and even when plugging in headphones directly to the speakers.

What could be the problem? Is it an easy fix? Could I get it done?... Should I?

Also, I live outside the US.
