love my 4.5 though i was not impressed by the bass so i bought a 35$ used power subwoofer and overall sound improved dramatically (as it does with all small speakers who cannot physically produce enough bass i guess). which lead me to a question for presonus : why dont you make the volume of the 4.5 smaller as it cannot produce bass anyway and save space on the desk where space is limited ? people who want bass must buy a sub anyway (the massive space used by the sub is not taking space on the desk so we get the best of both world).
