I am using my 16.4.2 in a live situation where I am the sound guy as well as guitarist and p/t singer. I use both Reverb and delay on the voices but don't want them on in between songs when we are talking.

is there somewhere on the board where I can connect a footswitch to turn the effect on and off remotely?

thanks,
Jim

Not really.

But there is a way to turn them on and off easily on the iPad, I will often set up a music stand and put my iPad on there, then I can do TAP Tempo for the delay for each song, and kill the FX between songs right on the iPad in a split second.

But of course that takes a computer with firewire and a router and an iPad (and a music stand) to accomplish, but once you have it all you'll never go back!

Steve, thanks but I am really into keeping it as simple as possible. I can't believe there isn't a way to do this. seems like a big mistake.. Unless this board is ONLY designed for the Studio..

Jim,
if you are routing effects to FX1 and FX2.. its simple.
Reach over and hit the Mute Button on whichever FX you want turned off..

That's the only way I know other than Steve's prior suggestion.

Getting really good at throwing pebbles?

But seriously what you can do is not use the internal FXes but set up an external FX processor with foot switch and use that. Hook it up between the S/PDIF output (sending Aux sends A+B) and aux inputs A and B and you won't even lose monitor auxes over this. Just an idea… :)
