I just purchased a used 16.4.2, and wanted to register it under my new hardware. I typed in the serial number located on the bottom of the console, but get a prompt saying it is invalid. What to do?

For certai older machines, that message may mean that the board is already registered. What you need to do is this:
1. A conveyance between two parties involved with the buying/selling of the product from the person (receipt, bill of sale, etc.). 2. A picture of the serial number. Put that in a support ticket and we can take care of it. |
All good now. Thanks

I bought a 16.4.2 from an old friend just recently. He deleted it from his profile so that I could register it on mine, however I also get the invalid serial number message.
He de-registered it yesterday, so I tried registering last night, it failed, and I thought "ok, maybe it takes overnight for the web site to catch up". Tried it again this morning and still no joy. Sat for half an hour on the tech support line but then my phone dropped the call or I was disconnected, and I can't take any more time out of work. Thoughts, anyone? |
matthewgorman wroteI think you need to email support for the legacy systems. Thanks. I certainly don't mind doing that. It is not obvious on the contact page how to do that. Do you mean I should initiate a support ticket? |
Issue resolved. My 16.4.2 is now registered and I am beginning the process of getting Capture and the StudioLive control software on my macbook so I can start using it. Very exciting!
Edit: Kudos to PreSonus support for taking care of me quickly and being generally very helpful. |
