I recently upgraded to imac 2019 i9.
It has 4 usb3 and 2 usbc/thunderbolt ports. I'm already using the thunderbolt ports for external monitors. Is there anyway for me to use my classic firewire StudioLive with this new computer? (I have a 1602 and 1642). I cannot seem to find a way to plug the SL into the usb3 ports, and I cannot seem to find a usb-c/thunderbolt hub that would allow me to plug it alongside my external monitor. Thank you, Chony |

Hi and welcome to these forums
 Interfacing the legacy StudioLive mixers to a Mac without FireWire ports must be through Thunderbolt, the Apple TB to FireWire adapter, and a bilingual FW800 to FW400 cable. And stay away from Catalina as Apple have broken the FireWire interfacing on it. Knowledge Base article |
